How do the online classes work?
When you sign up for one of our online Korean courses, we give you access to our virtual classroom on Google Classroom. It's like a study room where you can find materials, communicate with the teacher and join live classes with us via Zoom. We make sure you feel like you're in a traditional classroom, but without having to leave your home!
What technology or software do I need?
To join our online classes, all you need is a device with an internet connection. You can use your computer or even your mobile phone, whichever is more convenient for you. We recommend having the Zoom app installed, but don't worry if you don't, you can join directly from your browser. Make sure you have a headset handy for better sound quality and, if you want, you can set up your camera so we can all see you. If you have any technical problems, we're here to help you solve them!
How long does each class session last?
Our group classes are scheduled to last 90 minutes and 8 sessions are held each month. We believe this is the perfect time to cover the content thoroughly and provide an effective learning experience. But if you prefer individual classes, we can adapt and design a study plan to suit your needs and schedule.
Do I need to have previous knowledge of Korean to join the classes?
Don't worry at all! Whether you are starting from scratch or if you already have some experience. If you've learnt a bit of Korean before, great, we'll place you in the perfect group for you with a taster. If you're new to it, don't worry, we're excited to teach you from scratch!
How can I customise the content of my classes?
If you would like to tailor the content of your group classes, simply contact us to discuss your goals, areas of interest and any special requirements you may have. With this information, our teacher can adjust the teaching materials, activities and teaching approaches to meet your individual needs.
In addition, if you prefer more personalised attention, we recommend you consider our one-to-one classes, where you can receive tuition even more tailored to your choices and pace of learning. Just tell us what interests you, what you want to learn and how you like to learn it.
What happens if I need to reschedule a class?
We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise! If you need to change the date or time of your individual class, just let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we will work with you to find a new date that fits your schedule. We want your learning experience to be as convenient as possible for you.
For group classes, rescheduling can be a bit more complicated, but don't worry! If you can't make it to a scheduled class, the teacher will record it and make it available to you in our virtual classroom in Classroom. That way you can catch up when you have a little time.
