Our history

You know those moments when everything suddenly makes sense? Well, Dagachi was born out of one of those. Specifically in 2012 in Malaga.

Meet who's behind the screen

Maka, a passionate student who had gone through the same difficulties with Korean, began in 2012 to help her fellow East Asian Studies students unravel the language. With laughter, a few tears and a lot of patience, her role as a guide grew into a teaching project of her own. With the arrival of the pandemic, she discovered the potential of online learning and transformed her face-to-face classes into a dynamic and engaging digital experience.

Our values

Connection

We know what it feels like to study this language because we teach from experience.

Flexibility

We do not impose moulds. We adapt to your pace, objectives and learning style.

Empathy

We create an environment where you can learn without fear, calmly and enjoying every step.

Accompaniment

We walk with you as you continue to learn: we resolve, guide and celebrate every step.

Visual presentations

During the classes, we share presentations designed by us, where we organise all the content in a clear and attractive way.

Constant oral practice

We firmly believe that practice is the key to learning a language. You will be able to express your thoughts in different contexts.

Solid foundations

We build sentences using what you know from the start, so that your Korean is built on a firm but flexible foundation.

Living culture

We work on culture from the first class, and once a certain level is reached, we integrate cultural elements such as videos, songs and stories.

Dagachi Method

Our classes are designed to make the most of your time and energy during each session. To achieve this, we use a practical and visual approach that combines different tools and activities:

Our visual universe

horizontal-logo (tr)

Our logo represents a mugunghwa (무궁화), the national flower of Korea. This composition reflects two of our values: connection and empathy, which guide every aspect of our visual identity.

Connection
Each petal symbolises how each member of the Dagachi community brings value to us.

Empathy
The typography, with its soft, rounded lines, reinforces closeness and openness.

In the centre of our flower is a smaller flower. This icon symbolises the knowledge that blossoms during the learning process. The result of shared learning (같이: "together") acquires true value (가치: "value"). These Korean words are pronounced the same, gachi.

Our ambassadors

Our adventure companions Gomi and Bomi are born from the founding myth of Korea, where a bear and a tiger dream of a different life, marked by self-improvement and change. In Dagachi, we take that story as a metaphor for learning: a process that requires both courage and patience.

Gomi is the calm and wise side of learning. She represents the teacher we all wish we had: patient, understanding and always there to support you. With Gomi, you will discover the cultural richness of Korean and the value of taking it one step at a time. She is the guide who shows you that learning a language takes time, but every effort is worth it.

Bomi is the fun touch and fresh energy that makes learning Korean so much more than memorising rules. Her curiosity and courage remind us that learning a language can be an adventure, full of moments to enjoy and laugh. With Bomi, mistakes are not scary; they are just steps on the road to improvement.
